Summary:

Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS medics responded to a pedestrian versus vehicle accident at the intersection of Fifth and Frankstown avenues at 4:40 a.m.

Medics attended to an unconscious male in the crosswalk. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver did not stay on scene. The vehicle was last reported headed towards Fifth and Penn avenues.

The Collision Investigation Unit is investigating.
