When first responders arrived on scene they found a Ford Expedition that had been traveling inbound had hit a tree, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and settle in the park.
A female driver suffered facial lacerations and was transported to the hospital in stable condition by medics. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Bigelow Blvd. was closed as the tree was removed from the road.
