Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 responded to a ShotSpotter alert, followed by 911 calls, of dozens of shots fired on the 2300 block of E. Hills Drive just before 9:15 p.m.
When they arrived on scene they found a male victim with gunshot wounds to his shoulder and to his side. He was transported by EMS to the hospital in critical condition, but later upgraded to stable condition.
Per the initial investigation, police believe the shots were fired between two vehicles. Bullets were also recovered from two structures that were hit in the same area. There were no injuries to anyone inside.
VCU and MCU arrived to process the scene.
Police continue to investigate.
