Pittsburgh Police have made no arrests in connection with a fight that occurred inside the Hotel Monaco on the 600 block of William Penn Pl. just after 2:30 a.m. on December 14.
A male victim who was critically injured during this incident was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Police have conducted interviews with the parties involved and with witnesses. The parties involved in this incident did not know each other.
The investigation is ongoing. Pittsburgh Police will continue to consult with the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office, but at this time no charges have been filed.
The cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner's Office.
