UPDATE: Two Arrested in North Side Robbery

Summary:

Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers responded to a report of a robbery on the 700 block of Woods Run Avenue around 8 p.m.

A responding Zone 1 officer located a vehicle matching a description of a suspect vehicle on Shadeland Avenue. Before the officer could conduct a stop on the vehicle, it stopped and two people ran out of it.

The male driver was detained on the scene, and a male passenger was apprehended on the 3500 block of Brighton Road. The second passenger was not located.

Police found some of the victim’s possessions on the passenger who ran and more evidence in the vehicle.

The two males were arrested on robbery charges. Police continue to search for the third suspect.

Zone 1 detectives are investigating.

 

UPDATE (11 a.m., Dec. 17) – Police arrested two males, identified below, and are seeking a third male.

Troy Hogan, 45, of the North Side, faces charges of robbery, burglary and criminal conspiracy. Hogan fled from the vehicle and was apprehended by police.

Michael Brown, 50, of Washington, Pa., faces charges of robbery, burglary and possessing an instrument of crime. Brown was driving the vehicle and detained on scene.
