On January 16, 2020 at approximately 11:00 a.m, detectives from the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police HIDTA, or High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, Squad served a search warrant at a residence in the 1900 block of Lowrie Street in the Troy Hill section of the city.
This search warrant was obtained as the result of an ongoing drug investigation that began after detectives received multiple complaints from community members who suspected that drugs were being trafficked out of this residence.
During the search of the residence, detectives recovered approximately 13,000 stamp bags of heroin, a Sig Sauer 9mm pistol, as well as Percocet pills, MDMA, also known as Ecstasy, and a large amount of cash.
Aaron Gale, 26, of the North Side, was arrested at the scene and is being indicted federally on drug trafficking charges. After taking Gale into custody, detectives went to a second location in the North Side, where they recovered additional heroin and a large bag of cocaine.
Pittsburgh Police would like to thank the community for their cooperation and vigilance in helping to keep their neighborhoods safe by reporting any suspicious or illegal activity to 911 or 311.
