Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers responded to report of a water line break on the 1800 block of West Carson Street around 7:15 p.m.
Officers from Zone 6 saw water coming from the ground on the outbound lane of West Carson. PWSA was notified of the rupture. The Department of Public Works placed lane closure barricades.
No injuries were reported.
West Carson Street was closed from Corliss Street to the West End circle.
