Police, Fire and EMS Respond to a Head-On Collision on Mifflin Road

Summary:
Pittsburgh Police officers from Zone 4 responded to reports of a head-on collision on Mifflin Road at Lebanon Road just before 8:00 p.m.
When they arrived on scene they found two vehicles, one with a male driver who was transported by EMS to Mercy Hospital in serious but stable condtion with a possible head injury.
The female driver of the other vehicle was also transported to Mercy in stable condition, suffering from shoulder pain. Both patients were conscious and talking.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire Engine 20 arrived to extinguish an engine fire in one of the vehicles.
The Collision Investigation Unit will be investigating.
