Police Investigate North Side Shooting

Summary:

Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers responded to a ShotSpotter notification of gunfire near the intersection of Brighton Road and Woods Run Avenue around 7:30 p.m.

Responding officers from Zone 1 did not locate a victim or actor, but identified a possible shooting scene, including broken glass and blood.

Shortly after, a 30-year-old male gunshot wound victim walked into a local hospital. He had been shot at least once in the leg and was listed in critical condition.

Police began canvassing the area for evidence. Violent Crime Unit and Mobile Crime Unit detectives were called to process the scene.

No arrests at this time. The investigation continues.
