Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers responded to ShotSpotter alerts of more than 30 shots fired on the 8400 block of Frankstown Road just before midnight.
Shortly after, Zone 5 officers located an adult male gunshot victim several blocks away near the intersection of Bennett and Oakwood streets. Medics transported the male to a local hospital in critical condition.
Violent Crime Unit and Mobile Crime Scene Unit detectives arrived to process the scene on Frankstown, where multiple shell casings were located outside.
