Public Safety issues statement on upcoming G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting

Date: March 5, 2020
Incident Type: G7 Meeting
Location: Pittsburgh
Summary:

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Public Safety prepares for all events in the city, to include presidential and dignitary visits.

As with other events, Public Safety and our partner law enforcement agencies are prepared for Pittsburgh to host the G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. For security reasons, we cannot go into specifics about our preparations. But Pittsburgh has hosted high-profile events in the past, and we look forward to the opportunity to host similar events in the future.

As the date of the summit nears, Public Safety will provide additional information to the public. In the meantime, media inquiries regarding this summit should be directed to the State Department.
