Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 responded to 9-1-1 calls for a person shot on the 2400 block of Bedford Avenue just before 11:20 a.m.
When officers arrived on scene they found an adult male victim outside with a gunshot wound to the left leg.
A police officer applied a tourniquet until EMS arrived. The man was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
The investigation continues.
