Police Respond to Shotspotter Alert in Upper Hill

Summary:

Pittsburgh Police responded to a Shotspotter alert for the 3100 block of Iowa Street around 7:20 p.m.

When Zone 2 officers arrived they found no evidence of a shooting. Upon further investigation of the area, officers were notified of a male shooting victim. Officers made their way to the 800 block of Anaheim Street where they found a male with a gunshot wound to the leg. Medics transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition. A blue sedan was seen fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed.

The Violent Crime Unit is processing the scene.
