Officer, Civilian Injured in Collision

Summary:

A Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officer and a civilian suffered minor injuries following a two-vehicle collision on Washington Boulevard around 12:50 a.m.

The Zone 5 officer was leaving zone headquarters to respond to a call when the collision occurred.

The officer was transported to a local hospital for shoulder pain. The civilian driver complained of neck and shoulder pain, but refused treatment by medics.

The Collison Investigation Unit is investigating.
