Just before 6:15 p.m., the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire - Fire Boat 1 - was dispatched to an area of the Monongahela River near the 4700 block of E. Carson Street as part of a mutual aid request made by Baldwin Borough for reports of a possible body in the water.
Firefighters located the body of a deceased male. EMS River Rescue also responded to retrieve the body, which was transported to the boat house on the North Shore.
Cause and manner of death will come from the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office.
