Pittsburgh bureaus of EMS, Police and Fire responded to the 30 block of Carver Street after reports that a brick retaining wall had fallen on a child just before 6:50 p.m.
When medics arrived they found a male child underneath a three-foot cinder block wall on the front porch area of a residence. The child was in serious condition before going into traumatic arrest.
EMS Medic 1 and Medic 11 transported the child to Children's Hospital where he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
The Crime Scene Unit processed the scene.
Police are investigating.
