Pittsburgh Police officers from Zone 5 responded to two Shotspotter alerts and reports of a possible gunshot victim on the 7000 block of Frankstown Avenue around 11:50 p.m.
Once on scene officers observed a male lying on the ground in a parking lot near a business.
He had suffered a gunshot wound to his lower right leg. The victim was alert and conscious and was transported by EMS to a local hospital in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
