Pittsburgh Police from Zone 1 responded to the 1400 block of Claim Street for reports of a person shot just after 6 p.m.
When officers arrived on scene they found a female victim who had suffered a gunshot wound to her leg.
Officers applied a tourniquet to the wound until EMS crews arrived. The woman was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Three males were reportedly seen fleeing from the area on foot.
Police continue to investigate.
