Police Responded To a Shotspoter Alert In Mt. Washington

Summary:

Pittsburgh Police responded to a Shotspotter alert for the 500 block Norton Street around 7 p.m.

Responding officers from Zone 3 discovered a vehicle that had been struck by a round.

While officers were investigating the scene, they were alerted to a walk-in gunshot wound victim at a nearby hospital. The victim was pronounced deceased after arriving at the hospital.

Police are investigating.
