UPDATE: Arrest in North Side Stabbing

Summary:

Pittsburgh Bureau of Police and EMS responded to a report of a stabbing in the 1200 block of Federal Street shortly after 4 p.m.

Officers found a male with a stab wound to the abdomen on the sidewalk outside a business. Medics transported him to a local hospital in critical condition. 

Police are investigating. Anyone who witnessed the stabbing or has information on it is asked to police at (412) 323-7800.

UPDATE: A warrant was issued late Tuesday night for Alexander J. Hammond, 30, in connection to the stabbing on Federal Street June 3.

Hammond is charged with aggravated assault. He was in the Allegheny County Jail on unrelated charges.
