Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating gunfire near the intersection of Frankstown Avenue and Collier Street around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night
Zone 5 officers found two shooting victims and immediately rendered aid.
Pittsburgh EMS transported a female victim to a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds in critical condition. She was pronounced dead at the hospital around 1 a.m. Thursday morning.
Medics also transported a male with a gunshot wound to his lower extremity. He was listed in stable condition.
The Mobile Crime Unit and Violent Crime Unit responded to the scene to investigate.
