Police and EMS Respond To a Pedestrian and Vehicle Collision In Oakland

Summary:

Pittsburgh Police and EMS responded to a reported vehicle that struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and N Dithridge Street, around 9:40 a.m.

 First responders were alerted to a 94-year-old woman on the street. The victim complained of a leg injury. Medics transported the victim to UPMC Presbyterian serious condition.

The driver of the Access bus remained on the scene. Fifth Avenue was closed between N Bellefield Avenue and N Craig Street. Fifth Avenue was reopened around 2-hours later.

There were no other injuries and police are investigating the cause of the collision.
