Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS responded to a 9-1-1 call of a child struck by a vehicle on the 200 block of Grandview Avenue around 1:50 p.m.
First responders attented to a juvenile female that had been struck by a vehicle. Officers were told the child ran into the street from between two parked cars. The vehicle made minor contact with the victim. She was transported to a local hospital in stable condition to be evaluated. The driver remained on the scene and was cooperative with officers.
Tonight, the City-County Building is illuminated to recognize Poison Prevention Week and the 50th Anniversary of "Mr. Yuk" in partnership with Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.
