Police Investigate Kidnapping

Summary:

Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers from Zone 2 responded to a report of a home invasion/abduction on the 200 block of Lombard Street on June 10, 2019 around 5:45 a.m.

Per the initial investigation:

Three men were inside a residence when unknown assailants entered the home. They tied two of the men up and kidnapped the third man.

Police processed the scene for evidence while a widespread search for the kidnapping victim was conducted in various neighborhoods. The victim was not located.

On June 11 around 6:15 a.m., Zone 2 officers responded to a report of a man yelling for help in a wooded area near Bedford Avenue and Morgan Street. Officers found the kidnapping victim with his wrists bound and a gunshot wound to his lower body. Medics arrived and transported him to a local hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time.
