Police officers from Zone 2 responded to Shotspotter alerts for shots fired in the area of Enoch Street at Granville Street around 2:30 p.m.
While en route, police received information that possible victims were headed to the hospital by private means.
A short time later, a male victim arrived at a local hospital in stable condition with a gunshot wound to the back. No other victims were located.
The Crime Scene unit arrived to process evidence at the scene. VCU detectives are investigating.
