Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 responded to a Shotspotter alert for shots fired in the 500 block of N. Braddock Ave. just before 3 a.m.
Shortly thereafter, officers received word that a female victim with gunshot wounds to her abdomen and hip had run to the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire Station 17 in the 7600 block of Hamilton Avenue.
Firefighters began rendering aid before Medic 11 transported the victim to the hospital in stable, but critical condition.
Violent Crime and Crime Scene units arrived to process evidence at the scene.
The investigation continues.
