Pittsburgh Police, Fire, EMS and Port Authority Police Responded To A Collision on Liberty Avenue

Summary:

Pittsburgh Police, Fire, EMS, and Port Authority Police responded to a collision on the 1600 block of Liberty Avenue around 6:30 p.m.  

When first responders arrived, the discovered a minivan had struck a Port Authority bus. Medics extricated the driver of the van and transported him in serious condition. A bus operator and one passenger were the only people on the bus. The passenger complained of a minor injury and was transported to be evaluated.

Liberty Avenue was closed in both directions. The Port Authority Police are handling the investigation.
