Statement of Purpose:

Victims Assistance was developed in 2017 to respond to the biopsychosocial needs of individuals who have been victimized in the City of Pittsburgh. In order to achieve this, crisis intervention, referrals, information and advocacy will be provided. In addition to these primary responsibilities, Victims Assistance will provide support within the Public Safety Department and the community to support the city's most vulnerable populations. The purpose of the office in the City of Pittsburgh is to ensure crime victims have equitable access to information and resources in their community.

It is the mission of the City of Pittsburgh Victim Services to provide comfort and guidance to the members of our community that have fallen victim to crime.
